Lekedrieon Russell arrested early Tuesday morning at 19th and Lamar streets, after officers responded to a report of a subject armed with a handgun in the area of 18th and Lamar.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Jefferson County Jail on charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number, no FOID card and possession of cannabis. Formal charges and bail remain to be set.
