SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — A 24-year-old central Illinois man is facing a 35-year prison sentence after pleading guilty Thursday in federal court to soliciting sex and pornographic images online from women and young girls.

A Thursday statement from the U.S. attorney’s office in Springfield says Jordan D. Salem of Peoria pleaded guilty this week to production of child pornography while registered as a sex offender.

Prosecutors say he created a false identity on a social media site as someone linked to a pornography film company.

They say he got least 22 females, seven of whom were minors, to engage in sexual intercourse with him by promising money he never paid.

A plea agreement stipulates the more than three-decade prison term. A judge must still approve that sentence at a Sept. 22 hearing
