MARION COUNTY — The Illinois Department of Transportation is alerting motorists that U.S. 50 will be restricted to one lane between Metcalf Road and Beard Road Beginning Monday, August 15, 2016, weather permitting.

The work will take place daily between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. and is necessary to make pavement repairs and construct a new asphalt surface on the route.

Delays are expected. The Department advises motorists to follow all construction signs and drive with caution throughout the work zones.
