MARION COUNTY — A trial date has been set for a 24-year-old Centralia man facing drug and firearm charges in Washington County Court following a hearing held yesterday.

A jury trial for Ryan Jacklin is set for Oct. 24 on felony charges of delivery of between 5 and 15 grams of meth, aggravated manufacture of more than 400 grams of meth protected by a firearm, and unlawful possession of a shotgun with a barrel of less than 18 inches.

State’s Attorney Heath Hooks made the court aware that Amber Lyday, who had agreed to testify for the prosecution as part of a plea deal, had also made a video statement pertaining to the case.

Jacklin was not in Washington County court Thursday. He was scheduled to appear Thursday in both Washington and Marion County court on separate and unrelated charges.

He was arrested on new allegations while in Marion County Court for a hearing on a felony charge of aggravated fleeing through two traffic control devices.

The new case charges Jacklin with felony aggravated fleeing police with speeds more than 21 miles per hour over the limit.
