JEFFERSON/MARION COUNTIES — Railroad crossing work is set to begin tomorrow in the Walnut Hill and Dix area in Jefferson and Marion counties.
A surfacing gang with Norfolk-Southern will be coming through Jefferson and Marion Counties to re-surface several crossings beginning Tuesday, September 13, resulting in the temporary closure of those crossings.
The list of crossings to be closed include
- County Road 2000 North near Dix in Jefferson County
- County Road 2050 North near Dix in Jefferson County
- Dix-Irving Road in Dix
- County Road 1000 East in Dix
- North Douthit LA near Dix in Marion County
- N Old Centralia near Dix in Marion County
- Harrison Street in Walnut Hill in Marion County
- Baker Street in Walnut Hill in Marion County
- Schwartz Road near Walnut Hill in Marion County
