CLINTON COUNTY — The Carlyle Police Department has arrested two Carlyle men for an alleged armed home invasion and burglary earlier this week.

Officers arrested 18-year-old Blake Nottmeyer, and 25-year-old Lawrence E. Cooper, on felony charges of aggravated battery with a firearm, home invasion, and residential burglary.

Carlyle police referred requests for information regarding the arrests to the Clinton County State’s Attorney’s Office, but calls to the state’s attorney have not yet been returned.

Both Nottmeyer and Cooper are being held in the Clinton County Jail. They were each formally charged Thursday with Class X felony armed robbery with a firearm and bail was set at $100,000 a piece. Both men are due back in court December 21, for preliminary hearings.
