JACKSON COUNTY — Authorities continue to search for the driver of truck involved in what has become a fatal hit-and-run last month in Murphysboro.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, 46-year-old B.J. Glenn died Thursday night from injuries suffered November 25, when he and a friend were walking into town when their car ran out of gas and were struck around 7 p.m. by what police believe was a 1997 to 2003 light-colored Ford F-150 pickup truck. Authorities say the truck lost its passenger side headlight and mirror.

Surveillance video uncovered during the investigation showed the truck turning south into Carbondale at the intersection of Airport Road and New Era Road.

The truck never stopped for the stop sign, which leads family and friends to believe the driver knew what they’d done.
