CLINTON COUNTY — A 37-year-old Belleville man was sentenced Monday in Clinton County Court to 15 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to two counts residential burglary.

Steven J. Kuklinski was initially charged with two counts Class 1 felony residential burglary, two counts Class 2 felony residential burglary, and two counts Class 4 felony criminal damage to property.

Kuklinski pleaded guilty to the two Class 1 charges in exchange for the other Clinton County charges being dismissed. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison on each count to be served concurrently.

In addition to the prison sentences, Kuklinski was ordered to pay more than $23,000 in restitution to victims of the Clinton County burglaries.

He is still facing charges of Class 1 felony residential burglary, and Class 2 felony theft in Washington County.
