CLINTON COUNTY — A 25-year-old Odin man is in the Clinton County Jail, after he was arrested Monday by Clinton County Sheriff’s deputies on meth and firearm charges.

Cody Matson, who was more recently known to live in Wamac, was arrested for alleged endangering the life or health of a child, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, as well as on an outstanding Department of Corrections warrant.

He is currently on parole for a 2011 conviction out of Marion County for Class 2 felony burglary.

In court Tuesday he was formally charged with Class 3 felony possession of less than 5 grams of methamphetamine, Class 3 felony illegal possession of a firearm and Class 2 felony possession of a firearm by a felon. Bail in that case has been set at $50,000.

He is next scheduled in court December 14, for a first appearance with his court appointed attorney.
