Steven Myers was charged Wednesday in Marion County Court with Class 3 felony aggravated battery causing great bodily harm and Class 4 felony aggravated reckless driving resulting in bodily harm.
He was advised in court of the charges and prohibited from having contact with Damian Marcum or his residence on North Locust Street in Centralia.
According to Centralia police, Myers and Marcum had an argument Tuesday on Facebook that included a threat against Marcum.
Later, Myers reportedly began doing donuts in the parking lot near where Marcum’s truck was parked. When Marcum yelled at him to stop, Myers reportedly drove his truck at Marcum, striking his leg, then climbed out of his truck and called on Marcum to fight.
When Myers ultimately left the scene, he reportedly swerved his truck at Marcum, but Marcum was able to move out of the way.
Marcum was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment of his injuries. Police later located Myers and he was taken to the Marion County Jail where he remained Wednesday night.
