MARION COUNTY — An 18-year-old Kell man was sentenced Tuesday morning in Marion County Court to 4-years in prison after he admitted to a petition to revoke his probation from a burglary conviction.

Matthew Gains was charged in April 2016 with Class 1 felony residential burglary. He pleaded guilty to the charge in August and was sentenced to 5 years probation.

Gains subsequently violated the terms of that probation and he was arrested in December. He has remained in the Marion County Jail since that arrest and will be given credit for time served since then.
