After just one day of witness testimony, Fayette County State’s Attorney Josh Morrison rested his case against William Frakes, leaving the defense to present their case today.

Frakes’ wife and daughter both testified for the prosecution, while an expert witness with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office testified about the results of search warrants served in the case.

Scott Workman said he had received a tip from the Center for Missing and Exploited Children about images uploaded to a Flicker account that was associated to email addresses connected to Frakes’ cell phone number and zip code.

A subsequent search warrant for Frakes’ phone revealed three images depicting a female reasonably known to be under the age of 13.

Frakes is charged two Class X felony counts of possessing child pornography of a sadistic nature depicting a victim under the age of 13 and one Class 2 felony count possessing child pornography depicting a victim under the age of 13.
