WASHINGTON COUNTY A weekend traffic stop in Nashville has landed to people from Carbondale in the Washington County jail on cannabis and firearms charges.
According to police reports, during the traffic stop, Nashville’s K-9 unit alerted police to the presence of narcotics, leading to a search of the vehicle.
The driver, 34-year-old Brandon Brooks was formally charged Monday in Washington County court with Class 2 felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon with a prior conviction, and felon in possession of a firearm, as well as Class 4 felony possession with the intent to deliver between 10 and 30 grams of cannabis and misdemeanor possession of between 10 and 30 grams of cannabis. Brooks was also issued a citation for speeding.
The passenger in the vehicle, 20-year-old Acacia Watson, was formally charged with Class 4 felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance, with the intent to deliver between 10 and 30 grams of cannabis and misdemeanor possession of between 10 and 30 grams of cannabis.
Brooks remains in custody with bail set at $40,000 and Acacia remains in custody with bail set at $10,000.
