JEFFERSON COUNTY — Bail has been set at $40,000 for a 36-year-old Tennessee Man held in the Jefferson County Jail for allegedly soliciting a child.

Joshua Banks, of Memphis, Tennessee was charged this week in Jefferson County Court with Class 3 Felony indecent solicitation of a child and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

The felony charge alleges that Banks solicitated a child under the age of 17 years of age to perform a sexual act, a charge that could be punishable by up to five years in prison.

The misdemeanor charge alleges Banks knowingly solicited sex from a minor. A preliminary hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. June 28.
