JEFFERSON COUNTY — A 29-year-old Mt. Vernon man has been charged in connection with leaving the scene of a vehicle crash Monday in which an Illinois State Police trooper was injured.
Daron A. Bradford is charged with Class 4 felony leaving the scene of an accident involving personal injury, which is punishable by one to three years in prison.
Bradford is accused of leaving the scene of a vehicle crash at Veterans Memorial Drive and Wells Bypass Road in Mt. Vernon involving an Illinois State Police trooper who suffered bruises, abrasions and a back injury due to the accident.
Bradford is being held at the Jefferson County Jail with bail set at $20,000. He’s next scheduled in court September 27 for a first appearance with his court appointed attorney.
