JEFFERSON COUNTY — An early Sunday morning crash in Jefferson County resulted in a Mt. Vernon couple being taken to the hospital for treatment after the motorcycle they were riding was truck by a car.
According to Jefferson Rural Fire Protection District, a motorcycle driven by Michael Odea was traveling on Route 148 at Triton Lane Sunday when around 1 p.m. a vehicle occupied by four juveniles reportedly ran the stop sign at Triton Lane and struck Odea’s motorcycle.
Both Odea and his wife were transported to SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment of injuries.
Officials say the four juveniles refused hospital treatment.
The crash remains under investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office. No further details are available at this time.
