CENTRALIA — Centralia Police have arrested an 18-year-old man an arrest in connection with one of three armed robberies Sunday night, and one in October.

According to reports, Dazhai Brumfield, of Columbus, Ohio, and formerly of Centralia, was arrested for alleged armed robbery and aggravated battery with a weapon.

Police say Brumfield was arrested following an investigation of two females being robbed late Sunday night at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Fairway Drive.

Around 11:38 p.m. police responded to a report of a disturbance at 104 Fairway. Upon arrival officers spoke with two females who indicated they had been robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot by a black male and a black female, who then left on foot with the victim’s purse.

The victim indicated that a short time later a different black male and a black female were walking in the area of the incident, when the black male threatened the victim with a gun and then fled on foot.

Brumfield was already a suspect in the October 23rd armed robbery of Huck’s Convenience Store in Centralia where a black male with a black hoodie reportedly struck one employee with a gun while demanding all the money in the cash register from another.

The suspect reportedly grabbed all the money and fled eastbound on foot after the cash registered was opened.

The robbery in the apartment complex parking lot came just hours after armed robberies earlier in the evening of the Hunan House restaurant in the 100 block of North Cherry Street and 30 minutes later of Lincoln Liquors in the 700 block of Broadway.

The victim indicated that two black males and a black female entered the Hunan House restaurant at about 9 p.m. Sunday and started ordering food, when one of the male suspects displayed a handgun and demanded money.

When the employee did not immediately respond, the male suspect struck her in the head with the handgun, then took an undetermined amount of money and the three then fled on foot.

Approximately 30 minutes later, Centralia Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at Lincoln Liquors, 731 E. Broadway.  The victim in this incident indicated that two black males and a black female entered the store and one of the males produced a handgun and demanded money.

The employee was then struck in the head with a handgun.  After the employee opened the register, the suspects took an undetermined amount of money and fled the scene on foot.
