CENTRALIA — Two people were transported to SSM St. Mary’s Hospital due to injuries suffered after being ejected during a single-car rollover crash just east of Jolliff Bridge Road in Centralia.

According to reports, the vehicle was traveling on Monroe Friday afternoon where it left the roadway and rolled numerous times before coming to rest on the Norfolk-Southern Railway tracks just northwest of Centralia.

Both occupants of the vehicle were apparently ejected from the vehicle and were taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

Centralia Fire Protection District, Life Star Ambulance, and the Centralia Police Department responded to the scene around 12:30 p.m.

Firefighters remained on the scene until railroad officials and a Clinton County Sheriff’s deputy arrived.
