FAYETTE COUNTY — Bail has been set at $100,000 for a 43-year-old Vandalia man charged Thursday in Fayette County court with residential burglary and theft for an incident alleged to have occurred within the first few weeks of April.

Timothy J. White remains in the Fayette County Jail on charges of Class 1 felony residential burglary and Class 3 felony theft charges between $500 and $10,000.
A Class 1 felony is punishable by between 4 and 15 years in prison if convicted, while a Class 3 felony is punishable by between 2 to 5 years if convicted.
According to the Fayette County State’s Attorney’s Office, White is accused of entering a dwelling between April 1 and April 22, which is when the incident was reported.
White was arrested April 24 for alleged criminal trespass to a residence and on an outstanding Fayette County warrant for failure to appear.
He was convicted in October 2017 in two separate 2017 cases and one 2016 case each charging him with Class 2 felony burglary and he was sentenced to 2-years probation.
