Anthony Dennis was arrested for alleged possession of meth with the intent to distribute 5-15 grams and possession of drug equipment.
Detectives contacted Dennis at his home Thursday in the 1000 block of South 23rd Street in Mt. Vernon. A search of the residence, specifically Dennis’ room within the home reportedly revealed quantities of meth packaged for sale, drug equipment, and money believed to be drug proceeds.
Other occupants of the home were not believed involved in the manufacture, sale, or use of meth. Dennis, however, was taken to the Jefferson County Jail where he remains with bail set at $30,000.
He was formally charged in Jefferson County court Friday with Class 1 felony delivery of between 5 and 15 grams of meth. He’s next due in court July 25 for a first appearance with his court appointed attorney.
