MARION COUNTY — The North Egyptian Quail Forever has scheduled its first of what it hopes will be an annual indoor/outdoor banquet.

The event will be held at 5 pm Saturday, July 21st at the ‘A Fair Barn’ on Hotze Road.

Tickets include dinner and drinks, along with numerous raffles of guns and outdoor items.

All proceeds will be used for habitat projects and youth events in Marion County. It is more important now than ever before to restore Bobwhite Quail populations. There are already increases in quail numbers on existing projects.

The North Egyptian Quail Forever need your support. Contact Wildlife Habitat biologist Jeremy Kunick at 618-315-3020 or Chapter President Scott Tolliver or Treasurer Mike Malone or members Steve Sanders for more Information.

Chapter officials say the first year for the chapter has been an exciting one.

They hosted a trap shoot in Alma, hosted a chili supper for deer hunters during the first deer season, assisted in helping teach the Sandoval FFA and Sandoval 6th grade classes with the 1st pollinator event in the area at the Colonial Golf Course.

The organization also helped support the Odin Trap Shoot Team, worked on educating the Marion County area about pollination and quail populations.

The chapter has promised that any money made at any event is staying in Marion County area for further development of wildlife habitat and for our area youth and the outdoors.
