FAYETTE COUNTY — A six-day manhunt for a 39-year-old Ramsey man came to an end Wednesday night with the arrest of Nick L. Maness on an outstanding warrant for motor vehicle theft.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Maness is alleged to have stolen a vehicle last Thursday in the Brownstown area. He was pursued by sheriff’s deputies before he fled on foot in an area southwest of Ramsey.

Maness appeared in Fayette County court Thursday on two counts Class 3 felony theft, Class 4 felony third DUI, Class 4 felony aggravated fleeing police, and misdemeanor reckless conduct. His bail has been set at $250,000. He’s next scheduled to appear in court for a September 25 preliminary hearing.
