According to Mt. Vernon Police Chief Trent Page, around 2 p.m. Tuesday, a Mt. Vernon police officer reportedly noticed Bradley Gammon driving a vehicle in the area of 44th and Broadway.
Knowing Gammon’s driver’s license is revoked, the officer initiated a traffic stop.
Page says Gammon, who is on parole from the Department of Corrections, was taken into custody for alleged driving while license revoked.
An inspection of the vehicle Gammon was driving reportedly revealed 65 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale, drug paraphernalia, and currency.
He was additionally charged with meth delivery between 15 and 100 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Page says the Department of Corrections will be notified of Gammon’s arrest.
He was released to parole in November after pleading guilty in 2017 to a Class 3 felony charge of possession of meth. He served two years of a five year sentence.
