MARION COUNTY — A 21-year-old Salem man reportedly remains in critical condition following a traffic crash Friday night at the Green Street and Odin roads intersection.
According to the Illinois State Police, around 10:41 p.m. Friday, Shade Woodward was airlifted from the scene to a St. Louis area hospital after his motorcycle struck an SUV driven by 20-year-old Levi Brown of Sandoval.
Crash reports say Brown made a left hand turn from southbound Odin Road onto Green Street Road in front of Woodward. The Woodward motorcycle then crashed into the driver’s door of the SUV.
Brown reportedly went to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment. Paige Ralidak, of Sandoval, a 19-year-old passenger in his SUV, was not injured.
State Police say charges are pending further investigation.
