WHITE COUNTY — Three people were involved in a crash involving a car and a semi Monday afternoon in White County.

According to Illinois State Police a semi with a trailer driven by 46-year-old Kenneth E. Helton of Shobonier was traveling eastbound in the right lane on I-64 near milepost 128 as a car driven by 24-year-old Bobby J. Green of Louisville, Kentucky was traveling in the left lane at the same time.

Helton veered off the right lane onto the right shoulder, veered left back onto the roadway traveling across both lanes in front of Green. Helton’s semi rolled onto its passenger side and came to rest in the median. Green veered left into the media to avoid Helton.

Helton was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Green and his passenger, 28-year-old Deshaela Rivers of Louisville, Kentucky, reportedly were not injured.

ISP says charges are pending investigation.
