MARION COUNTY — A 33-year-old Centralia man is back in federal custody following his arrest late last month in a joint federal and local operation conducted at two separate Centralia homes.

Kai Reeves was already in custody at the Marion County Jail following his September arrest at his Golf Lane residence.
But the U.S. Marshal’s Office served Reeves with an arrest warrant revoking his federal parole that stemmed from a November 2010 conviction.
In the 2010 case, Reeves was sentenced to more than 10 years in federal prison following his conviction on multiple counts of distributing crack cocaine and heroin in the Centralia area.
He was released to parole in that case in November 2017 and began serving 5-years parole.
On September 24, 2020, the Centralia Police Department assisted the FBI in the execution of two search warrants – one of which was at Reeves’ home on Golf Lane. The identities of those arrested in that operation were not released at the time.
According to federal court documents, on September 16, 2020, Reeves sold methamphetamine to a confidential source in Centralia, and again on September 24 – the day of the federal raid on his home – Reeves admitted he sold at least a half-ounce of meth every week from June 2019 to September 2020.
He was taken into custody at that time and transported to the Marion County Jail. Generally, whenever a U.S. Probation Officer believes that a defendant has violated his or her supervised release, a violation petition will be submitted to the Court.
On October 2, a federal judge issued a warrant for his arrest based upon a petition to revoke his parole for the 2010 conviction.
