CHICAGO (AP) — Aggravated assault, aggravated battery and criminal damage to property charges have been filed against a Chicago woman who allegedly injured three officers when she rammed several police vehicles.
Dawn Moore was ordered held in lieu of $250,000 bond Thursday for the alleged attack that occurred Wednesday. Authorities say the incident began when the 30-year-old Moore demanded police release a man they pulled over for a traffic violation, saying he was someone she knew.
Prosecutors told Cook County Circuit Judge Arthur Wesley Willis that after Moore was told to move on, she rammed the vehicles and tried to run over an officer.
The woman drove away, but was arrested later. Moore was represented by a court-appointed attorney who said she had “significant mental health diagnoses.”
