SALEM — People in the area should be alert to the discovery of counterfeit $20 bills received by local businesses.

According to the Salem Police Department, two businesses in Salem have reported receiving counterfeit $20s in recent days.

Businesses are reminded to check the bills they receive to make sure they’re not fake.
