ILLINOIS — Local businesses are stepping up to help people suffering from the wave of tornadoes that struck the region last week.

Produce Plus, the Hole Dozen and Chef Boy Har V, all out of Salem, have set up in Bowling Green serving anyone who needs food.

They’re set up at the HUB, which is where the grade school and middle school are located. Red Cross is set up here as well along with FEMA and many others.

They quickly ran out of diapers and feminine products but will have transports bringing additional supplies.

If you can donate diapers, wipes, or formula you can drop them or other donations by Produce Plus in Salem or contact The Hole Dozen at 618-335-0869.

Americas Car Mart is also collecting items for the tornado victims. Items can be dropped off at any of their three locations in Marion, Benton and Mt. Vernon.
