MARION COUNTY –Authorities are investigating the death of a 40-year-old Centralia man who was discovered dead at his home Saturday.

According to Marion County Coroner Troy Cannon, Stacy Joe Reed was discovered in his home by family members, deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Cannon says his office was assisted at the scene by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. The incident is being investigated as an apparent suicide.

There were no signs of foul play, forced entry, or any other evidence to indicate anything other than a suicide. No autopsy is planned.

The family is being assisted with arrangements by the Sutherland/Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia.
