JEFFERSON COUNTY — Numerous people were arrested Wednesday in Jefferson County as local law enforcement began an effort of locating and arresting people wanted on drug-related warrants throughout Mt. Vernon and Jefferson County.

As of 1 p.m. Wednesday, the Mt. Vernon Police Department/Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department arrested nine of the 19 people sought in ongoing investigations by the MVPD/JCSO Narcotics Division.

MVPD reminds you that those arrested are considered innocent unless proven guilty. Those arrested Wednesday include:

• Patrick Keef – Poss of Controlled Substance
• James Jennings – Delivery of a Controled Substance and Delivery of a Look A Like Controlled Substance
• June Patterson – Delivery of Heroin
• Tina Gammon – Delivery of Controlled Substance
• Judson Connaway – Poss of Controlled Substance and Poss of Drug Equipment
• Brittany Bunton – Poss of Controlled Substance and Poss of Drug Equipment
• David Birke – Possession of Controlled Substance
