Ryan Jacklin was charged Monday with Class 2 felony harassing a witness or family member and Class 4 obstruction of justice by inducing a material witness to leave the state or conceal themselves. An additional charge of Class X armed violence was added to his original case.

Jacklin has been held in the Richland County Jail since his arrest in September 2016 when he was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped in Olney.

A K-9 alert on the vehicle led to a search and the alleged discovery of the drugs and a firearm.

He was arrested along with 22-year-old Brittany Bunton, of Salem, and both were charged with Class X felony delivery of between 15 and 100 grams of methamphetamine, Class 3 felony being a felon in possession of a firearm and two counts Class 4 felony possession of a controlled substance.

Bunton was released on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond but Jacklin has been held with bond set at $25,000 cash.

At the time of his arrest in Richland County Jacklin was free on bond in Washington County where he is now awaiting trial on charges of Class X aggravated manufacture of more than 400 grams of meth, Class 1 felony delivery of meth, and Class 3 felony possession of a sawed-off rifle or shotgun.

Jacklin is due in Richland County Court on Tuesday for a final pre-trial hearing on the earlier charges and then March 13 and 14 for a jury trial.

An April 24 date has been set for a jury trial in Washington County and a March 30 date has been set for a pre-trial hearing in Marion County on two separate cases charging Jacklin with felony aggravated fleeing police.
