MOUNT VERNON — Two men have pleaded not guilty in the January 20 shooting death of 26-year-old DeAndray Jackson in a Mt. Vernon alley.

Jackson was shot near the 1800 block of Conger Avenue and was later pronounced dead at Crossroads Community Hospital.

On Tuesday, 22-year-old Jarron Liddell and 23-year-old Tony Feggins waived formal arraignments and pleaded not guilty.

Liddell will have a pre-trial hearing at 1:30 p.m. on March 28th, while Feggins’ pre-trial hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. March 21st.

Each man faces charges of two counts first-degree murder, attempted robbery, and conspiracy to commit robbery. In addition, Liddell is also charged with two counts of obstructing justice.

Six others have been indicted in the case for murder, been advised of charges, and are awaiting arraignment.

They are 19-year-old Lamar Williams, Jr., 18-year-old Deon Frazier, 21-year-old Dantrez Brown, 20-year-old John Wells, 18-year-old LeKedrieon Russell, and 24-year-old Curtis Devan, Jr.

Russell has a preliminary hearing set for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Wells’ arraignment hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. March 10th, Frazier will have an arraignment at 10 a.m, Devan has an arraignment at 11 a.m., and Williams at 1:30 p.m. Finally, Brown’s arraignment is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on March 21st.
