Jonathan Acoff was also given credit for 53 days served in jail, ordered to complete drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, and pay nearly $1,000 in fines and fees with the matter of restitution reserved.
According to police reports, Acoff was arrested when he was found attempting to switch license plates between vehicles.
In exchange for his guilty plea, two other charges against Acoff were dismissed.
They include failure to report a motor vehicle crash involving an injury and attempted possession of a stolen vehicle.
According to police, a few days before his arrest, while attempting to steal a truck owned by Joshua Heern, Acoff struck Heern with his own truck.
Heern reportedly noticed someone around his vehicle and an argument broke out. Heern was then struck by his vehicle when it came across the street, struck a pole and then a house.
Heern went to SSM St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of injuries. No one in the home was injured.
Acoff successfully fled the area, but was arrested a few days later by Centralia Police after allegedly trying to switch license plates off a vehicle on West Broadway.
