CENTRALIA — Centralia police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a south side convenience store Monday night, making it the second such incident in just days.

According to reports, around 10:15 p.m. Monday, the Huck’s store on East Calumet reported being held up by a black man wearing a black hoodie. He reportedly fled from the scene on foot.

Officers responded and secured the scene to begin their investigation.

The robbery came just days after FuelVend Express on North Poplar in Centralia was robbed.

That robbery was reported around 8:25 Saturday night. Two black men reportedly entered the store with one displaying a handgun. They left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
