MOUNT VERNON — Mt. Vernon police reportedly took two individuals into custody late Wednesday night following a report just before 11 p.m. of an armed robbery in the area of Isabella and Pace.
Witnesses described the suspects as two white males, one wearing a dark colored hoodie and the other described as large and wearing square-rimmed eyeglasses. While a weapon was not displayed, one was inferred.
They reportedly fled eastbound from the scene where a taxi cab driver was reportedly injured. The driver was transported by Litton’s Ambulance Service to a local hospital for treatment of facial injuries.
Two individuals were reportedly taken into custody a short time later.
