FAYETTE COUNTY — The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in apprehending a suspect, in a vehicle theft case in an area southwest of Ramsey.

Fayette County Sheriff Chris Smith said in a Thursday Facebook post that the suspect they are looking for is Nick L. Maness.

Maness is alleged to have stolen a vehicle in the Brownstown area. A vehicle pursuit ensued with Sheriff’s Deputies before Maness reportedly fled on foot.

A man hunt for Maness is currently underway just southwest of Ramsey.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Fayette County Sheriff’s office at 283-2141 or call 911. Maness is said to be wearing blue jeans and a black t-shirt.
