JEFFERSON COUNTY — A 32-year-old Ina man was sentenced Thursday morning in Jefferson County Court to 27 years in prison in connection with multiple counts of child pornography.

Paul Grider pleaded guilty in October to nine of 16 Class 2 felony charges against him of possessing child pornography with the other charges being dismissed.
Grider’s arrest came as the result of an investigation the sheriff’s office launched last summer into his possible possession of child pornography.
As investigators from the sheriff’s office and Ina Police Department assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force worked the case, it led them to serve a search warrant at 403 South Main Street in Ina.
The subsequent search of the residence developed further evidence and led to Grider’s arrest. He has remained in the county jail since that time with bail set at $1 million.
