IUKA — Ron Tippitt, 73, of Iuka, Illinois passed away July 4, 2022, at home, cared for by his loving family.

Private graveside services and burial will take place at Mound Cemetery, Charleston, Illinois. There will be no public visitation. Memorials may be made to the Donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 97, 310 N. Broadway, Salem, Illinois, 62881 618-548-1234 entrusted with the family’s care.

Born March 21, 1949, in Decatur, IL, he was the son of Rondal N. and Opal A. (Otta) Tippitt. His father preceded him in death.

He married Nancy L. Foreman, August 7, 1969, in Macon, IL and she survives in Iuka, IL.

Also surviving are his children, Josh Tippitt and wife Stephanie of Sparta, Missouri, Laura Rael and husband Robby of Springfield, Missouri, and Heather Tippitt and friend Mike of Springfield, MO along with grandsons Morgan and Jaxton, his mother Opal Tippitt Shotton, and his sister, Liz Beckett of Moweaqua, IL.

Ron worked in photo engraving for Salem Gravure-Division of World Color Press in Salem. He retired from Salem Rural King in Salem. He was of the Christian faith, was an outstanding creative artist, and animal lover, and will be remembered as a very hard worker by his children and friends.
