WAYNE COUNTY — Two men are in the Wayne County Jail on meth-related charges, after Fairfield police reportedly found evidence of multiple meth labs at a Fairfield area home.
39-year-old Barnabus McGill, of Fairfield, and 22-year-old Tre Sterling, of Geff, are facing charges relating to the unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine.
Police report they recovered one operational meth lab and as 20 inactive labs from the scene.
McGill is currently awaiting trial in a 2015 case in which he’s charged with a 10th to 14th driving while license suspended or revoked offense. Two other charges in that case for possession of meth and possession of a controlled substance have been dismissed.
In 2000, McGill was sentenced in Wayne County Court to 8-years in prison, after he was convicted of Class X felony possession of meth.
