JEFFERSON COUNTY — A 36-year-old Mt. Vernon man was sentenced Wednesday in Jefferson County Court to 6-years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, after he pleaded guilty to residential burglary.

Jack Reeder was arrested December 17, in connection with burglary of a Bonnie home a few days earlier.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department Detective Division conducted an investigation into the burglary, resulting in Reeder’s arrest and the recovery of the stolen items.

In addition to his prison sentence, Reeder must pay nearly $2,500 in restitution, fines and fees.

In 2007 he was sentenced in Jefferson County Court to 5 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, after he was convicted of Class 1 felony burglary, and in 2004 he was sentenced to 3-years in IDOC for felony burglary,
