CENTRALIA — The Centralia Police Department conducted a K-9 drug sweep today of the Centralia High School campus, and while the dogs did alert on five vehicles in the student parking lot, no drugs were located during the sweep.
All school buildings on campus, including the Annex Building, checked clear for the current or past presence of any drugs or contraband, according to the Centralia Police Department.
CPD thanks the Mt. Vernon Police Department, Salem Police Department, Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, Wayne County Sheriff’s Department and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance in providing K-9 officers to help with the drug sweep.
Centralia Police Chief Doug Krutsinger says his deparment continues to work closely with Centralia High School to ensure a drug free educational environment for students of the community.
