FAYETTE COUNTY — A 50-year-old Brownstown man was injured in an ATV crash Saturday in Fayette County.

According to Illinois State Police, around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Eric Forbes was traveling on a rural road just north of Wright’s Corner when he attempted to turn at the intersection.

Forbes apparenlty lost control of the ATV when it skidded in rocks, slid sideways, and then overturned.

Forbes was injured and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

He was cited for DUI, driving while license revoked, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and careless operation of an ATV.
