JEFFERSON COUNTY — A 28-year- Ina man was sentenced Wednesday in Jefferson County Court to 3-years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, after he pleaded guilty to violating probation stemming from a 2012 burglary conviction.

Cody James appeared in custody of IDOC, as he had been sentenced in April to 4 years in prison on a conviction for a 2015 retail theft case in Franklin County. That conviction violated his probation in Jefferson County.

The 3-year sentence out of Jefferson County will be served concurrently to the Franklin County sentence. James will also have to serve 2-years mandatory supervised release once he has completed his prison term, as well as pay more than $3,200 in fines, fees and costs.
