Authorities arrested 21 year old William Newman after he was pulled over for having a cracked windshield.
A check of his license found that he was wanted on an Effingham County warrant issued in April for a charge of burglary.
Newman was being held in Jefferson County Justice Center for transfer to Effingham County Court for an appearance Friday on that warrant.
Newman had been released on bond in Jefferson County awaiting trial on three separate felony arrests from 2015.
Status hearings and continuances have delayed the sentencing hearing on the Jefferson County charges until July 15, 2016.
