MARION COUNTY — A 27-year-old Carlyle man remains in the Marion County Jail after being arrested over the weekend by Wamac police on multiple charges.

According to reports, Marquise Shackleford allegedly used counterfeit currency at the Industrial Tavern and police were called.

Shackleford was arrested on an outstanding Clinton County warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct case, as well as on new charges for alleged fraud, forgery, and deceptive practice.
