CHICAGO (AP) — A group of business and labor leaders are calling for a resolution to the state’s budget impasse.

The group will hold a news conference on Monday, the day before state legislators are expected to reconvene in Springfield.

Speakers scheduled to appear at Monday’s news conference in Chicago are the president of AT&T Illinois, the head of the Chicago Federation of Labor and the CEO of the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago.

The United Way is also expected to share results from a survey it conducted on the stalemate’s impact on human services.

Democratic legislators and Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner remain at an impasse over the spending plan for the fiscal year that began July 1.

Overtime sessions in Springfield haven’t produced results. The House and Senate are due back Tuesday.
