MARION COUNTY — Bail was set today at $100,000 for a 52-year-old Centralia man arrested over the holiday on drug related charges after he allegedly sold drugs to an undercover police informant.

Robert Potter was charged today in Marion County Court with two counts Class 1 felony delivery of narcotics within 1,000 feet of a school and Class 2 felony possession of a firearm by a felon.

Potter allegedly sold Oxycodone pills to the informant the day before Thanksgiving. A search warrant obtained due to that sale reportedly revealed not only the marked money used in the transaction, but also cannabis and a firearm, as well as drug paraphernalia.

A public defender was appointed today to represent Potter in the case and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for December 15.
