Authorities offer $5K reward in Will County shooting death

JOLIET, Ill. (AP) — The Will County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a Lewis University student wanted in a man’s shooting death.

A news release from the department says 19-year-old Tariq Pinnick of Lockport Township is wanted on a $1 million warrant for first-degree murder. Pinnick is accused of shooting 22-year-old Dylan Somma on Jan. 13 outside a home in Lockport Township.

The (Joliet) Herald-News reports that Somma suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The sheriff’s office says Pinnick is known to frequent the Lockport and Joliet areas and is enrolled at Lewis University. He’s believed to be armed and dangerous.
