FAYETTE COUNTY — Officials have ruled a 62-year-old Vandalia man died this weekend of natural causes, after he was found dead in his driveway Saturday.

A neighbor notified Vandalia police after spotting the man lying in his driveway Saturday just outside the garage of his Vandalia home. Fayette County Coroner Bruce Bowen was notified at approximately 3:48 p.m., pronounced the man dead at the scene at 4:08 p.m., and identified him as 62-year-old Joe Wilms.

According to Bowen, after a thorough investigation by the Coroner including an autopsy Monday, it has been determined Willms died of natural causes.
